Taking information from a fan page seems a bit odd - its not a recognized opinion sourcereviewer. Its probably better to rephrase meterial or create own than to referance a fan-site. Maybe find a recognized reviewer to quote? Crackshoe 00:02, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Sounds like you're quite a pro on WP. I'm not, just tring to contribute what I can. Unless that's unwelcome, you might want to explain recognized opinion sourcereviewer, or give a link to it. Thanks. - Original page creator, new AAA.
At least I think I was accurate enough to quote my source. I think I did some rephrasing, as you can see by having a look at the source proper. I'm not in favor of stealing stuff by just quietly rephrasing it without making clear what has been done. I thought I was using an internationally accepted citiation technique. (It just comes to me that about citing questions we might want to ask Muriel's opinion as I guess that having a PhD degree, she should be able to explain well what's correct and allowable citing and what isn't). - Original page creator, new AAA. (Yes I will probably pick a nick some time later, I was actually going to, but sorry I do want to know what comes out of this first.)

Possibly a discography? that would allow you to link to the 'text' pages you've started creating ( Lyrics is a more commonly used term for the words in a song, at least in American-english.) Also, the lyrics are most likely copyrighted by the artist, so you may need to get permission to use them. Crackshoe 00:07, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hey I'd have loved to find an officially proper place for lyrics on Wiki* in the first place! Yes, I think lyrics means the words in a song. Actually I had song text in my first version of the page, then an (I presume) 'merican made it lyrics. That's what (as far as I'm concerned) that page is about. I own a legal copy of the music but I don't speak Swedish, so I would like to create something to help understand the lyrics.
I'm not sure about the term discography you are using. For what I've seen on fan pages, a discography seems to mean the albums and the song titles on the albums listed, not the lyrics. Where do you suggest should the stuff be put now? If you can provide a pointer that I can grasp makes any sense, I'll be happy to use it.
Yes I think the lyrics are most likely copyrighted by the artist, that's why I made, not a lyrics translated page but a lyrics explained page designed never to render any more of the lyrics proper than what I believe is perfectly acceptable by internationally accepted citation (and literary essay, for that matter) standards. No offense Crackshoe, but did you read the linked page after all?
The comment about discography was a suggestion - a list of the recording artists work, so others can go out and find albums as they please. I wasn't accusing you of violating copyrights, i was pointing out that it could be an issue - you hadn't done anything with it yet, but i thought i would point ou that there could be an issue. My comment on reviews was intended to suggest that you seek out a respected music review of the artist to quote or link to, simply becuase that would provide a common point of view for others - if its a reviewer they know, they probably know whether or not they agree with that sources reviews. i wasn't attacking - i was suggesting. unlax. Instead of close to 10 albums, why not use the actual number (if you have it) as of whatever date? Crackshoe 18:18, 15 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Due to various diffeerent release dats (Sings Salvadore Poe has 3 or 4 diffeent releases available in the US, including import editions), i'm leaving off the release date for the albums. Unsure of swedish text formatting for the swedish titled albums. i'll come back later and link each album to a tracklisting. Crackshoe 18:33, 15 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Muriel: Respect for your PhD and your lenghty pub list on WP, just for your removal of (work in progress, contributions welcome!) I'm not sure this does exactly mean doing anything or anybody a service. Look at the state of the page I linked - does it not need contributions, and would readers who are directed there without a warning not be p*ssed about it? I've taken the liberty of reinserting that warning. Please consider leaving it that way until the linked page is in a more satisfactory state, or help me understand why this is considered bad practice on WP (if that's true). Thanks. - Original page creator, new AAA.

I don't think it belongs here. It seems unprofessional and not appropriate for an encyclopedia. If you don't think the site is of high enough quality, don't link it at all. moink 16:17, 15 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I can see your point. I even partially agree. Just how do I attract people willing to contribute to a resource that needs it. (I'll leave it to every single user to decide for themselves what subjects they find worthy of being covered at all. I guess that holds as a rule of thumb, and as a matter of the state of this world, for all people and all resources.)
New pages are of non-final quality (some of them at least). AFAIAC that doesn't mean they shouldn't be started until the arrival of the shining guru knight contributor who can do it all in one go, and on his/her own.
This has taken us to very generic subjects. I wonder whether the FAQ or another general resource would be a better place for it to go to.
