i saw this exact paragraph at another site. A mere liturary cocidence? I think not...seeing how it was exactly the same. Care to explain?

Yes, this (and many of the Wikipedia space articles) are copied without reference from the National Space Science Data Center. Here is the original article, written many years before Wikipedia existed - http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/database/MasterCatalog?sc=1961-002A. DonPMitchell 18:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
