Only Roman Catholic?[edit]

Is she the only known Roman Catholic to participate?

hello, please find out if she is related to antero soriano of tanza cavite? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.116.208.27 (talk) 17:39, August 21, 2007 (UTC)

FLUENT?[edit]

I don't think learning French from her cousin would constitute someone as "fluent". Fluency is acquired over a long period of time, more than a number of years. Also removed fluency in Hawaii because I know for a fact that she is not.

Also removed the whole fluency thing altogether. She is only fluent in English. She is only learning how to speak Tagalog and French which does not constitute fluency. 65.115.99.226 23:44, 22 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

A whole bunch of statements, especially the ones about her denying her Filipino roots are espeically libelous. I'll let the statements stay for a short while and remove them unless proper citations are added. --Chicbicyclist 01:50, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is no proper citation because it simply isn't true, please removed these libelous statements. --aznxdarkricex 10:50, 3 November 2006 (PST)

I removed some of the language due to neutrality concerns; hopefully it sounds less like a gushing fan typed this.

Fair use rationale for Image:Flyinghomecover.jpg[edit]

Image:Flyinghomecover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:35, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality of This Article[edit]

I dunno. Reading through this article, it's like a "Jasmine Trias is so unbelievably awesome" vibe is coming from it. Also, a lot of things need sources. Things like "During the American Idol season, hundreds of internet fan sites from over a dozen countries were established in several Asian and European languages." don't seem to really be needed.

Does anyone agree? --Goten X 15:02, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This how article reads more like a promotion than a neutral description of her. No mention is made of the controversy of why she kept not being voted off American Idol even though numerous other singers seemed to have much better talent than her. This article definitely needs more balance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Raindreamer (talkcontribs) 04:43, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Need Permission[edit]

I've created a category about the Trias family and I want to include Jasmine because she is the descendant of Mariano Trias, a former vice president of The First Philippine Republic in time of Pres. Emilio Aguinaldo —Preceding unsigned comment added by Debbyryanfan 2412 (talkcontribs) 14:05, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

"To many Filipinos, she has only "returned" to the Philippines to make a quick buck off the people she refused to identify with." I would love a citation as to where they found this information, especially since I don't agree with it one bit. I find that offensive towards fans of hers, who are Filipino and love her not only because of her roots, because the girl really does have talent. Unless you are Jasmine Trias herself give proof to what you say and until you do, then i'll eat up my own words.
It seems like it has been removed from the article. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. – Obento Musubi (CGS) 06:26, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
