Gay Icon Project[edit]

In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Thank you very much. Philwelch 20:55, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

what is this doing here?

Most TV productions?[edit]

According to a Trivial Pursuit question, Kate Jackson appeared in more TV productions than any other woman in history. Could someone find a source to verify this information? --LostLeviathan 02:47, 30 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

The COI template was added because the contributor claimed to be none other than the real Kate Jackson. This has not been confirmed, but seems plausible. 199.125.109.64 (talk) 17:17, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I added the COI template for that very reason, based on the discussion on the Help Desk at Wikipedia:Help desk#Kate Jackson – ukexpat (talk) 19:38, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And this section was added because drive by templatting is discouraged, especially when the template says "Please discuss further on the talk page" and there is no discussion even by the templator. 199.125.109.64 (talk) 20:17, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Charlies angels 1st season dvdcover.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Charlies angels 1st season dvdcover.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

University of Mississippi[edit]

I've got a ref [1] that states Jackson went to Birmingham-Southern University, in her hometown. Is it possible she transferred to Ole Miss and it wasn't mentioned in the People article? The University of Mississippi statement in the article is unreferenced, so I'm removing it temporarily but if somebody can reference that, then by all means re-add it. Abrazame (talk) 06:15, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I searched around and found a ref for her sorority membership at Ole Miss, so if she attended Birmingham-Southern perhaps it was only briefly or for summer programs, etc. I'd say, given the ref for the sorority and in the absence of any notable details or point to be made about Birmingham-Southern, it's unnotable to add to the bio, and could even have been a misunderstanding in the above ref. Abrazame (talk) 06:38, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Didnt she make news a few years ago for being found in somebodys bushes? Might be related to the painkiller use. The National Inquire is my source... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.207.116.55 (talk) 18:26, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Romantic involvements[edit]

"linked romantically"  ???????????? What the hell does this mean? Will somebody please clarify or delete. Married, shacked up, or just "friends with benefits". We don't need to dance around the facts or wikipedia. Quit beating around the bush and spit it out. I assume this vague statement meant she was banging the guy. If that's what you mean, then add it. How do you "link" a person? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.48.1.227 (talk) 21:06, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hmm where to start. First, please post new messages at the bottom. Second, please don't start by yelling. Third, please sign your messages. Fourth, no need for profanity (yet). Fifth, we go by what the sources say. In this case, there are no sources, so I have nothing better to replace the text with and I'm loath to delete it, since I don't doubt it is correct (and quick Google searches confirm a few of them). But what's most bothersome here is that you are addressing some unnamed individual--in a place which does collaborative editing. In other words, I don't know who you're yelling at, or who is supposed to be doing the meaning. The way forward? Find the right sources, rewrite the text, verify it in footnotes. Thank you.
