Morris Udall[edit]

Morris Udall gave the Carter campaign a fight for the nomination. Udall finished second in the New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New York, Michigan, South Dakota, and Ohio primaries, and won the caucuses in his home state of Arizona, while running even with Carter in the New Mexico caucuses. Udall finished a distant second place to Carter at the Democratic National Convention, where his name was placed in nomination by Archibald Cox, and Udall's speech received great applause from his supporters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.126.179.253 (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Urban cities[edit]

"1976 was the last presidential election in which Democrats relied on the New Deal Coalition that composed of labor unions in urban cities..." What is "urban cities" supposed to mean? Cities are "urban" by definition. Jah77 (talk) 14:46, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
