Best Article Ever[edit]

This is a great article!

Why?[edit]

Is Wikipedia really the place for episode guides? It's starting to look like Wikipedia is trying to duplicate another project that aims to be a clearinghouse for information of all sorts: it's called the Internet.

Well this is the one-stop shopping of information/knowledge (clearinghouse). The goal is all civilization in a box.

Wikipedia's articles on Simpson's episodes are useful to me. The plot description helps me figure out whether I've seen it before, and the cultural references typically answer any questions I have when watching (what movie is being alluded to, or what is that piece of music). Granted that an episode guide is not part of the traditional role of an encyclopedia, but being "More useful to more people" (the slogan of a well-known print encyclopedia that Wikipedia has just about killed) is a worthwhile goal in itself. 66.32.148.104 (talk) 06:21, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
