New Picture?[edit]

Personally, I think it's confusing to have him pictured in a St. Louis Blues (a team he's never played for) style uniform. I know the rights thing is always a problem- but does anybody have an approved picture in a Colorado or Team Canada uniform (or both)? Smythtown_94 - 11:54, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can check Flickr, but it would have to be licensed CC0/PD, CC-BY, CC-SA or CC-BY-SA to be eligible for copying over here. Otherwise, I might try to get a pic of him next time the Oilers come to Calgary. I've already got all of this year's Flames, so can focus on visiting teams on occasion. As to the current lead image, feel free to move the team Canada pic up to the top. If I do get a new pic of him in the future, I'll return it to the international play section at that time. Credit for captain in 03-04?[edit]

I was going through some old photos on Getty and found at least 5 games where he played for the Oilers wearing a captain C in 2004.

January 5 vs the Devils ^[1]

January 8 vs the Islanders ^[2]

January 10 vs the Flyers ^[3]

January 11 vs the Capitals ^[4]

January 17 vs the Predators ^[5]

I imagine it is during a time while the captain (Jason Smith) was injured. But it's still him with the C. Should it be mentioned that he took it over for that time in the article? MatthewNewHouse (talk) 21:17, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
