Why is this page called "Nordisk råds litteraturpris" in English language wikipedia, instead of "The Nordic Council's Literature Prize", which is it's proper name in English? (See [1]) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tpikonen (talk • contribs) 18 November 2004
I suspect that others also use this page to develop their reading/shopping lists for current Scandinavian literature. For my use, since Powell's Bookstore in Portland shelves their literature authors alphabetically by last name, it would be very useful it the list of authors could be sortable by last name.
Okay, I agree, that's hardly a criterion for being encyclopedic, but then one picks up an encyclopedia for useful information, so anything that makes it more useful is a plus.

If you use this as a reading list, you are missing out on some of the finest literature to ever come out of Scandinavia. But sorting by last name is certainly useful, so I've implemented it. decltype (talk) 21:10, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The date "1965" should really be made to span two rows, then the phrase "Shared prize" might be eliminated.

This column is slightly confusing since new submission committees have been added throughout the years. For example, the Heinesen book was originally submitted by Denmark in 1965, but has retrospectively been attributed to the Faroes (which have their own submission slot now, but didn't in the 60s). I think the best way to handle this is to go strictly by what the official site of the prize says, with no regard to other things such as minority languages, multiple citizenships, possible committees of the future etc. Smetanahue (talk) 21:52, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
