Wok with Yan[edit]

According to the book TV North (as well as the Wikipedia article), Wok with Yan ran from 1980 to 1992 and was produced in Vancouver. This contradicts this article which says it only ran from 1980 to 1982 and was produced in Ottawa. Can someone confirm which is correct? 23skidoo 05:57, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am 100% sure that the show was produced in Vancouver (maybe the company that financed it was from Ottawa, so TECHINCALLY it was produced from Ottawa -- in which case the article should still say Vancouver), and 85% sure that it was produced more than two years. I did not make an edit of the article though. - Abscissa 21:01, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Wok.jpeg[edit]

Image:Wok.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ottawa production[edit]

I noticed somebody flagged this 12 years ago and it remains unresolved. This article says Wok with Yan was produced out of Ottawa from 1980 to 1995; but the show article says Vancouver from 1980 to 1982 and I know for a fact (because I was a regular viewer) it was still produced in Vancouver in the mid-1980s. I've placed a "fact" tag on the statement as if it was in fact produced in Ottawa, this needs to be sourced. According to the show article it came back in the 1990s; maybe the later iteration was produced in Ottawa? 136.159.160.8 (talk) 16:46, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
