Alternative article version[edit]

An alternative version of the article is at Talk:Bonnie McKee/Unsourceable; since the new information in it cannot be sourced, we alas can't use it in the main article. Noel (talk) 16:13, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Miscellany[edit]

I don't know that I would bother with the list of drugs unless it made some actual difference to her work. It seems to be kind of dangling there. Is it information? iMeowbot (I went ahead and blended it in. The earlier version said that the details didn't matter, so I made it more general. iMeowbot 04:44, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC))

References[edit]

I know, the references section rivals the biography in length. They're all real, but the information density is a bit on the low side :/ iMeowbot 17:59, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

this doesn't look right[edit]

This article contained: "Despite a promising start to her career, Ms. McKee's career has been marked in the past 18 months by the firing of her long-time management company and the loss of interest in her career by her label."

There was no source for this, and it definitely wasn't true at the time the entry was added. Recent communications from McKee contradict it, too. --72.70.21.103 12:49, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of material under BLP[edit]

I removed two sentences on the subject's background that clearly violate WP:Biography of Living Persons. The first had no citation, and the source for the second was not particularly reliable and certainly not notable. From the top of the BLP article:

"We must get the article right. Be very firm about the use of high quality references. Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material about living persons — whether the material is negative, positive, or just questionable — should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion."

I'm also either delting or marking for speedy deletion the Talk sub-page that links from this Talk page:

"This policy applies equally to biographies of living persons and to biographical material about living persons on other pages. The burden of evidence for any edit on Wikipedia rests with the person who adds or restores material, and this is especially true for material regarding living persons. Therefore, an editor should be able to demonstrate that such material complies with all Wikipedia content policies and guidelines."

And thanks to the other editors for pointing to related problems with the main article that still need tending. Allreet (talk) 04:15, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
