deletion[edit]

I deleted :

The title is said to have come from Frank Sinatra's song "It Was a Very Good Year", which begins with the line "When I was seventeen".

since the song wasn't out in 1944, when the magazine was first created. RickK 23:36, 15 Dec 2003 (UTC)

There should be a contoversy, because so many people complain about this.

I agree, there should be a controversy section. I know a lot of parents are opposed to Seventeen. I can't change it, though. I live in the UK where the magazine is unknown.Nukleoptra 16:32, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. Rhoda Ring passed away on June 15, 2022, at the age of 99.
