Merge[edit]

  • No: Gotham Central is a is a series on it's own, and it should not be merged into a non-series article.~ Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 06:52, 2005 July 19 (UTC)
  • Partial. While on second thought (I was the one who initiated the suggestions) that Gotham Central shouldn't be merged based on the fact that it is a seperate series, there's no reason that the Major Crimes Unit article needs to stand on its own. It's a small article and it's not about police in general, so it can and should be merged into the GCPD article.--Mitsukai 13:23, 19 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Partial Prior to this, I thought MCU was part of the Metropolis police unit. If it's part of Gotham's police force, sure, integrate the two - the MCU article isn't large enough to warrant its own entry. I'm not sure how I feel about Gotham Central and GPD being two seperate articles - this depends entirely on the extent of Gotham Central's deviations from the previous idea of the GPD - so I'll go with Mitsukai and say a series doesn't need to be part of the same article, with the GPD article linking to Central as an up-to-date, present rundown of Gotham's police force. • The MPD's version of the MCU is the SCU (Special Crimes Unit). I don't know if an article for that (or the MPD, for that matter) exists.--Mitsukai 11:56, 22 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • Partial I agree with Cyberskull and Mitsukai - Gotham Central is an award winning series and notable in and of itself. I hope to expand the article with more info soon. I also agree that the MCU should be merged with the GCPD article, with MCU left as a redirect there. Let me just say too that I think the GPCD article would and should be bigger, more data heavy and more up to date than the Gotham Central page as its scope is much broader (lots of Gotham cop action happens outside of GC). • Merged MCU and GCPD. Repealed merge on Gotham Central. All should now be right in the world. ^_^--Mitsukai 13:59, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

First appearance?[edit]

Should we use the first appearance info from the Batman page, as, presumably the GCPD has appeared at the same time as him? If someone could investigate, that would be great. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 11:47, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BatmanGothamCentralTPCVR.jpg[edit]

Image:BatmanGothamCentralTPCVR.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ramirez death[edit]

The last scene with Ramirez does not happen this way:

Dent: Looks like you'll live to fight another day detective. *hits her*
Ramirez: *dies*

This is fan speculation. Nolan didn't even know who the five people who died were, as evidenced here[[1]]. A gx7 (talk) 00:16, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
