That picture better? I would like to know what you think of the new one I uploaded. I'm assuming that you didn't like that last one I had up because it showed her 'out-of-character', since she doesn't normally have such a serious expression on her face. I'd like you're imput, as I'm assuming you're a fan too. One more thing though, not to get on you're back about it or anything, and this is just a suggestion, but it might be better if instead of just deleting the image, if you would replace it with a better one, or if you stated on her talk page that you'd prefer a better picture, other then just leaving her page without a picture. Just a suggestion, so the article looks nicer. Thanks, get back to me. Jay 22:18, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you edited someone else's comment at [[at [[{{{1}}}]]]] for clarity, spelling or grammar. As a rule, refrain from editing others' comments without their permission. Though it may appear helpful to correct typing errors, grammar, etc., please do not go out of your way to bring talk pages to publishing standards, since it is not terribly productive and will tend to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. For more details, see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thanks, and this would also apply to deleting other editors' comments in discussions. —C.Fred (talk) 21:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing[edit]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. You recently removed a section of the Talk Page for Hannah Montana. Please refrain from removing sections without permission. If you feel you must, justify yourself by using edit summaries just under the edit box. Contact me if you feel there is a mistake. Thank you. Bibliomaniac15 00:02, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove phrases with <!--- these symbols --->. They do not show up in the article itself, and are to alert people of things that should not be done. Thank you. Bibliomaniac15 21:56, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism on the Amanda Michalka Page.[edit]

Dear Rosepuff12,

I was looking at the Amanda Michalka Wikipedia page just before you edited it. What vandalism did you remove? I didn't see any, that's why I'm asking. I know you you didn't remove anything that I added, as I only put some info about her, but I did not add stupid things. I'd like to know what was removed, please.

Acalamari 20:08, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Acalamari's Response.[edit]

Dear Rosepuff12,

In that case, you removed useless info, not vandalism. As for the ethnicity of the Alyson and Amanda Michalka, I don't know how to add sources. Also, just by looking at the Michalka sisters you can see they have German ethnicity; i.e blonde hair.

If I do happen to be wrong about their ethnicity, then fine, I won't be upset; but for now I have read on many websites that they are of German descent (about 1 in 5 Americans are of German descent, in fact).

If I knew how to add sources, I would. My main goal on Wikipedia is to correct minor mistakes, which I have done. I will gladly point out to you that you misspelled encyclopedia on the Acalamari Talk Page.

Thank you for your input, Rosepuff12. Good day to you.

One More Thing[edit]

Dear Rosepuff12,

When you submitted your post to the Acalamari Talk Page, I noticed that you created a "contents" panel. Technically, by your own words, that's vandalism because no sources were cited. I don't know why you added a contents panel for.

Acalamari 20:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Accusation[edit]

Sorry Rosepuff12,

I apologize for accusing you of vandalizing the Acalamari Talk Page. I hadn't read anywhere that contents get created. My mistake; I'm sorry.

Acalamari 17:45, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting My Edits.[edit]

Hello Rosepuff12,

I have removed the Ethnicity Information that I added on the Alyson Michalka and Amanda Michalka pages. I decided that, because that information is unproven, it was best to remove it. I also decided to remove it because of your warning about it, and because of your kindness.

Thank you. Acalamari 03:54, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Vandalism.[edit]

Sorry to bother you again Rosepuff12,

I just removed what I'm sure is vandalism on the Aly & AJ page. It was added by 69.249.87.236 (which can be accessed by the Aly & AJ page history. That's how I found out.)

This was added: "In a recent interview at the Bogart Backstage Concert, they stated that they might do a movie based on Jane Austen. They weren't sure they would be able to squeeze it into their schedules, as they would be recording for their record, but they were hoping that they would be able to film it."

This was re-added: "AJ Michalka is currently dating Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers. AJ stated this in M Magazine."

The re-added sentence was edited to: "AJ Michalka is currently dating Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. AJ stated this on Aly & AJ's official MySpace in September and in the October/November 2006 issue of M Magazine (accompanied with a picture of them kissing)."

I am sure this is vandalism. At any rate, I have removed it, as it doesn't seem like Wikipedia content. Was I right in removing it? Acalamari 18:27, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I also had to remove vandalism on the Amanda Michalka site. This 69.249.87.236 person seems to keep adding stuff that was deleted beforehand. Maybe we'll have to inform an Administrator and get one to intervene if this person keeps it up. Acalamari 19:54, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Futher Vandalism To Aly & AJ Page[edit]

I have removed what I'm sure is vandalism in the trivia section of the Aly & AJ page. This is what it said:

  • Aly & AJ have been playing piano since they were six.
  • In a Radio Disney interview they say every holiday season they each do something, Aly: Decorates the house, AJ: Cooks.
  • Aly won a contest in 4th Grade. She had to design a holiday greating card and it was made into a Hallmark card.

I am sure it's vandalism. It's interesting trivia, but I feel that these should be on their own websites, not on Wikipedia. However, I think the part about the piano may be allowed to stay. An IP named 66.41.191.215 added all this information. Sorry I keep going to you for advice! It's just that you've been very helpful when talking about vandalism! Also, I'm still learning to tell the difference between Wikipedia-worthy content and subtle vandalism! Acalamari 00:21, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I asked an Administrator about protection to that page, but he said no, as there wasn't enough vandalism. He also said that the things we were removing weren't just vandalism; some of it was stuff that didn't belong. Instead, we are to talk to the people adding the things we keep removing. Acalamari 23:43, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We can post on Talk Pages that belong to IP addresses; I’ve done it. In fact, before I logged in with Wikipedia, I received a “you have new messages” message, despite the fact I hadn’t done any edits to Wikipedia. Turned out, someone else had an IP address like mine, and they had vandalized some sites. As for the part in the Amanda Michalka page about her dating this “Joe Jonas” person, I told Switchfo0t813 to post it in her biography, as I got tired of the endless edit war we were having with that User. Amanda dating Joe is technically not trivia: it’s a personal event of hers, and should go in her biography. It seemed more encyclopedic to put that information in her biography that in trivia. I also didn’t want to get into arguments with that User. If the sites are vandalized to the point where we have to constantly revert it, we’ll ask for protecting again. For now, we’ll just work together with the Unregistered Users to get them to stop adding information that we have to keep removing. Acalamari 02:51, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Catching Up[edit]

Hello Rosepuff12; some major activity has taken place on the Aly & AJ page recently. ChrisGriswold locked the page completely due to Switchfo0t813 continuing to change the genre to Christian Pop. I suggest you read my Talk Page User Talk: Acalamari, and the Talk Pages: User Talk: King Bee, and User Talk: Switchfo0t813 to read about the recent blocks and other things regarding Aly & AJ. Also, assuming the mediation is still going on next time you edit, if you wish to join the mediation for the Aly & AJ page, go to Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-12-12 Aly & AJ Genre Classification and sign there; but you'll have to choose whether you agree with King Bee and I, or with Switchfo0t813. Acalamari 00:25, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Acalamari 01:02, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Rosepuff12, on the mediation, in the part that says "consent," you will have to sign your name there with the four tildes, just to show that you are part of the mediation. I thought it was best to tell you this before someone else does. I should have said before; sorry. Acalamari 01:04, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, good; I'm glad you signed. Quick question: you changed your User Page from saying that you are a girl, to it saying that you are a teenage girl. Nothing is wrong with that sentence, but you also changed "I help to remove vandalism and other unencyclopedic information" to "I help to remove vandalism and other encyclopedic information." Doesn't the new sentence mean that you are removing encyclopedic information, as well as vandalism? I thought I'd tell you this before someone else sees it. Acalamari 19:43, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome; I didn't want people thinking that you were a User who removed things that were both vandalism and not vandalism. I know you're a respectful User, not a vandal. One thing though; what happened to the Teenage Girl part? That part was fine. Acalamari 04:07, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Response to: More Vandalism to Amanda Michalka[edit]

You may disagree, but I say that we should keep reverting for the moment. The vandalism isn't too terrible for the time being. As for the Aly & AJ and Alyson Michalka pages, unless the vandalism by IP addresses gets worse, we should just revert and post a message on the Talk Pages of the vandals. If, however, the vandalism becomes a daily event, we'll ask for protection then. Acalamari 23:50, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Michalkas.[edit]

Rosepuff12, you may want to join in the discussions here and here. I'm not sure when you'll next edit again, but you'll at least want to see these. Acalamari 04:13, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind; the discussions are over now. Acalamari 20:14, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello![edit]

Hello Rosepuff12, glad to see you're still around! :) As for Amanda Michalka, it still doesn't need protecting, and a request for it's protection at RFPP would be declined. In fact, keep it unprotected is more useful than having it semi-protected at the moment. Recently, there's been a vandal going around using different IPs adding loads of Wikilinks to a group of articles (the Michalka included), so keeping the page unprotected helps us spot that vandal so I or another administrator can block them. All we can do is just revert as usual. :) Acalamari 23:53, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • On a different note, I have granted rollback rights to your account. The reason for this is that, after a review of some of your contributions, I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended use of reverting vandalism: I do not believe you will abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck.
