the name change[edit]

Someone should put in the article when and why the name of the city was changed from Chinhae to Jinhae.--Rockfang (talk) 12:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The name changed when the Korean government introduced Revised Romanization system in 2000 (see Revised Romanization of Korean). Its Hangul name, 진해, remains unchanged. The same thing happened to Pusan or Taegu, which became Busan and Daegu respectively.--Bin2k1 (talk) 04:53, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chemical plant.[edit]

The chemical plant is said to be on the 'far' end of the city. What end is this? It depends where you're looking from. Say East or West. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.193.69.218 (talk) 23:34, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed. Because it is not germane to the general topic of Jinhae. Nxo (talk) 23:48, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where to put the Cherry Blossom Festival paragraph[edit]

Cherry Blossom Festival[edit]

I have added some text about the festival here on the Jinhae page because it is known throughout Korea as the Jinhae festival and people will look for it there and not under Changwon city, where there is a brief mention of it. Alternatively it is arguably important enough to merit its own page, since it has over a million visitors a year[1]. Minnowonsay (talk) 17:13, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
