Disambiguation[edit]

There's not more than one article, there's no article on the tobacco factory. Let's save the disambiguation for something that needs it. Anyway, where one meaning is so predominant as it is in this case, we point to the predominant meaning, with a parenthetical disambiguation in the main article - in this case, Waldorf-Astoria Hotel - Nunh-huh 04:48, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hi Nunh-huh! Happy New Year! I think you're right. I've made a last change like it is done in other articles with predominant meanings. Hope you like it. --EricS 05:21, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Question: I agree that the hotel is predominant. So why is there a redirect. Can you change that by moving? --EricS 05:26, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Happy New Year, Eric. There's a redirect because we want only one article, but there are lots of ways to refer to the subject of that article ("Waldorf-Astoria Hotel", "Waldorf-Astoria", "Waldorf Astoria Hotel", "Waldorf Astoria hotel", "Waldorf Astoria", etc.). The redirects help people find the article and (we hope) will prevent someone from duplicating it because they don't know it's already been written. - Nunh-huh 05:46, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC)
