Rename[edit]

The name of this article is long and wordy. I suggest maybe moving it to a title such as:

List of pneumonia victims

or something of the sort; the current title is quite bad. If anyone has any comments or proposals, please let me know! Otherwise, I will make the move myself in like 5 days. Thanks. --Jared [T]/[+] 21:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lists like this will never be complete, and that is why this one was removed from the Pneumonia article. However, some editors did not want to delete the list, so it still exists and was left as a "See also" link. Really, it is meaningless to even try to make a list of all the people (or even all the "famous" people) who have suffered such a common disease. In the USA alone there are about 4.8 million cases of pneumonia each year, and more than 60,000 deaths each year from pneumonia! [1] And how many of those people were "famous?" Even with the "never complete" disclaimer, this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen on wikipedia. 76.3.11.12 (talk) 04:13, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You should check out List of jazz albums. I'll donate £50 to the charity of your choice if that list ever becomes complete up to 1950. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 09:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, the inclusion criteria for that list have subsequently been tightened so as to only allow significant or notable albums; Wikipedia is very slowly moving in my direction. I'll spend the £50 on something nice for Christmas. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 10:57, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Goulishly jumping the gun on Heath Ledger's death[edit]

Is this just a game to see who's first at reportage? There has been speculation, but the results are still pending on the NY medical examiner's report regarding actual cause of death. The entry is unsubstantiated gossip, at this point, and not fact!

Unfortunatly there are more people to add to the list[edit]

I understand that Millvina Dean, the last survivor of the Titanic died of Pneumonia on May 31st, 2009. m w (talk) 20:45, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Phthinosuchusisanancestor[reply]

Edgar Allen Poe[edit]

Didn't Edgar Allan Poe's mother die of pneumonia? Or was it his wife? Whoever it was, they need to be added. I think it also needs to be added to his article. ~ Wikipedian19265478 (talk) 04:08, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
