Who is "popular Texan Lance C.", born in 1988? <KF> 20:05, 18 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I hereby announce my firm intention to delete all references to the above individual unless Mr Lance C. himself or someone knowledgeable about him convinces me that that would be the wrong course of action to take. <KF> 15:56, 22 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Doubtful date[edit]

I just removed the following:

Rudolph's article says he was made king in 1306 but doesn't mention the date. He replaced Wenceslaus III, but according to his article he died in August 1306. I have no idea where this entry came from and I haven't found any other source to confirm it but if it has a good source, please put it back (and preferably edit the articles to match). --Spondoolicks 15:10, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article incorrectly listed January 18th, 2001 as the day that Dale Earnhardt died in a last-lap crash at the Daytona 500. This is incorrect, the Daytona 500 is always held in February, Earnhardt died on February 18th, 2001.

Important enough?[edit]

well i dont care toy be honest because i am the best —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.18.86.99 (talk) 13:26, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is Stephen Colbert and Bill O'Reilly appearing on each other's shows for the first time of importance? It probably isn't but I just want to make sure.

  • I doubt that is important enough. This isn't the last episode of Friends, or I Love Lucy.ExplorerCDT 23:55, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the movie[edit]

DO NOT edit this article to promote a movie! The movie I speak of is the jj abrams project. DO NOT EDIT THIS ARTICLE TO INCLUDE THAT, IT IS IRRELEVANT AND NOT AN IMPORTANT PART OF AN ENCYCLOPEDIA.Strunke 04:10, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well actually, it is an important part of this encyclopedia, but you're right, it doesn't belong here, on this page. ShadowUltra 01:37, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

End of Unix Time[edit]

The current time format will reach it's limit on this day, 2038. Would this be something to include on this page?

Will this page be viewed tomorrow?[edit]

Blackout. Doesn't seem like it will be possible that anyone will see what happened important on this day for another year :( At least not on the English Wikipedia. -- User:Cronos Dage 173.35.89.249 (talk) 23:58, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pathetic and Incestuous Self-Coverage of the "Blackout"[edit]

Wikipedia was one of the main contributors to an online political protest on January 18th, 2012. The fact that they are covering their own protest is downright hilarious and shouldn't be covered by itself as a supposed news source. If wikipedia is going to continue to pretend shamelessness, they would do their best to cover themselves in the protest. But that goes strictly against Neutrality, which I believe they have already breached in the protest itself.--71.196.147.152 (talk) 07:06, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone is entitled to one's opinion, of course. Yours happens to be faintly ridiculous and generally incoherent, and Wikipedia can't avoid covering a globally notable event just because they were involved in it, no matter how many nasty synonyms that random and anonymous hand-wringers dredge up from their thesauri. --CalendarWatcher (talk) 08:45, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I do so enjoy your countering of my "ridiculous and generally incoherent" synonyms and [thesaurus-rape] in an ironically similar manner. Wikipedia should be neutral is the fact of the matter, and in this case it is certainly not.--71.196.147.152 (talk) 09:26, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Amy Carmichael[edit]

the webpage for Amy Carmichael says she is venerated in the Anglican Communion, which is not the same as the Church of England. Can this be changed? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 15:09, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
