    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

On the other hand, first, my encouragement was not included in the close of the DRV, so I might have been in the minority. On the other hand, second, I encouraged a draft submission with better sources. That didn't mean that I encouraged undeleting anything.     One would think that it would be encouraged to have a newish editor try to combat what appeared to be discrimination in the deletion of an article, in that dozens of similar articles for other countries continue to exist, and yet this one was deleted based on comments that it had "no value" and "no evidence of notability". I only asked here for a draft to be created, and if @Jay wants to handle the drafting, that's fine by me. (For what it's worth, I put my request for a draft here because that's what an outside website recommended (saying "If your page was deleted justly but can be improved, you can file the same request for undeletion as above".) I've learned my lesson to not rely on websites outside of Wikipedia for advice re: Wikipedia, but this is a genuine effort to see a better article created to try to address any criticisms not based on discrimination.     Alex Counts[edit]

    Timothy Ogden's book chapter clearly demonstrates that Counts played an important role in the development of the whole Grameen project. I modeled the article on what I have seen on many other Wikipedia pages on researchers and was happy to put together a bio that for me seemed to conform to normal practice. Extracting citations from outside literature (Counts' books and active contribution have been intensely debated in the discussion on microfinance) was postponed to a second step (hoping to get feedback in between), and I have learned now that it has to be done before initial submission.

    My other reason for writing this bio was that while researching on social entrepreneurship, I found Counts' book on several lists, and found it most helpful.

We are interested in what is written about the subject in reliable, independent sources that provide significant coverage of the subject.     No clue why you are talking about promotion. I am in no ways associated with the NSIS software project. I just got into this because I needed information. The kind of information WP is normally providing on such technical topics. And indeed, wikepedias in 19 other languages do have an article about NSIS, and so had the English WP until this deletion request went through with a majority of 3 against 2.
    As for "If no one has written": Plenty of people have written about NSIS. A good number of references is already in the article, and more can be added easily.
