this conquest of paradise sounds a little similar to the chariots of the fire, that old english movie's theme. it sounds so fabulous. and it seems that he was the same composer, no wonder.

Fair use rationale for Image:1492 album cover dual.jpg[edit]

Image:1492 album cover dual.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Track 2... word painting? or old Romanian?[edit]

Track 2 (Conquest of Paradise) lyrics are known as pseudo-Latin in the article,
but some say this is old Romanian and have come up with a partial translation of it.

Can anyone confirm this claim? --Immer in Bewegung 17:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

  • by the way, this was used in the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 olympics. --Immer in Bewegung 17:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Folia[edit]

92.151.180.227 (talk · contribs) added a short paragraph to the effect that the chord progression is based on the ancient European chord progression Folia. Listening to both, I couldn't agree more. However, the source provided was not adequate, and hence the assertion is not currently verifiable. It would be great if a better source became available. Light And Shadow & Hispañola[edit]

It is stated that only three tracks have lyrics not including Light And Shadow and Hispañola. What about them? It may be "word painting" too, but are there any facts about it? 94.50.124.199 (talk) 22:52, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
