I suggest that the category be divided in two: "Law Enforcement in the Federal Republic of Germany" and "Police and Security in the Third Reich" for historical clarity.

Then we would also have to have categories for East Germany, Imperial Germany, the Holy Roman Empire and each individual pre-Unification German state. Otherwise it would be inconsistent. That seems a bit complicated. -- Necrothesp 14:00, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)
