Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 16 November 2018[edit]

Please remove the dozens of "citation needed" tags that were added by a disruptive IP editor. The article already has a template for improving references at the top, and the IP managed to spam the article indiscriminately throughout with [citation needed] right before the page was protected. Ewen Douglas (talk) 18:22, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done That was an impressive amount of {{cn}} tags, Jesus Christ. ProgrammingGeek talktome 19:54, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Jesus Christ, perhaps you should see the history of why the tags were added? That might have helped. I would recommend researching the behaviour of Ewen Douglas in regard to this article. Perhaps then you might not have been so hasty. Jesus Christ indeed.173.13.132.244 (talk) 04:59, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Bea, Lizzie and Doreen" section[edit]

Apart from being completely unsourced, the entire section seems to contain an excessive amount of trivial details that would be appropriate in a fanwiki site, but not in an encyclopedia meant to give an overview of the topic. The 4th paragraph seems like it might be salvageable - IF any reliable sources can be found to back up this info. As it stands, it seems very much like the entire section is original research, so I intend to remove it. Please discuss here if you have a problem with this approach, before reverting any changes, thanks. Ewen Douglas (talk) 00:41, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

External scenes on film?[edit]

No - the external scenes are on video/tape.79.69.239.249 (talk) 16:32, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mass Deletion or Vandalism of page[edit]

It appears someone has deleted large portions of this page without discussing and coming to a consensus first, for example the *entire* section about the "Prisoner" DVD releases over the years, which details which episodes were in each release, has simply been deleted since I visited this page just weeks ago. I suppose that the possibility of this kind of vandalism is a weakness of just anybody being able to edit Wikipedia pages, but deleting this much content just seems extreme to me. I tried to find the edit and revert it, but I was unable to.

Perhaps someone else can restore this content? And if the original editor/vandal still wants it mass-deleted, the they can discuss it here and come to a consensus before making any other mass deletions?

I don't see any recent large deletions of content from this article. There is another article, List of Prisoner home video releases, which might contain the information you are looking for. Poltair (talk) 09:30, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth I've just deleted five thousand words of tables about which regional UK stations broadcast which episodes on which exact dates and times, which were all added by a single IP last year. It was taking up about half the vertical space of the article, which is ridiculous, and none of it was sourced. Wikipedia is not a database. --Lord Belbury (talk) 17:20, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Alansmith17 has chosen to re-add all of the indiscriminate information that Lord Belbury removed, so I thought I'd add a comment of support for the removal here, so that we can form a consensus. The information is completely unsourced and indiscriminate, and does not benefit the general reader at all, since it is complete cruft. – DarkGlow • 07:46, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
