Farewell Tour → Farewell Tour (Doobie Brothers album) — There are lots of articles with sections on Farewell Tours and several other Farewell Tour articles. This should be replaced by a disambiguation page linking to those articles, since it is a very generic title, with widespread usage. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 10:11, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

• Support, of course! The present title is worse than useless to most readers. Only by a legalistic reading of selected WP guidelines can it be considered remotely justified. It looks generic, but is specific. Nothing is gained by suppressing essential information on grounds that fail to consider the needs of readers. (Sorry if anyone hates seeing that repeated; it should go without saying that readers' interests come first; but amazingly enough, it needs to be made explicit at RM discussions. Again and again.)

Take a look at these titles on Wikipedia. Just for a start. And let's do that sort of searching at RMs generally. It's basic, guys.

I cleaned up the Farewell Tour dab page and moved the article to Farewell Tour (album) to disambiguate from the only other similarly titled entry, The Farewell Tour (video), per WP:PRECISION. If there are objections, please discuss or revert. —  AjaxSmack  16:51, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
