Orphaned non-free media (Image:WarioSSBB.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:WarioSSBB.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zack and Miri Make a Porno[edit]

Hi. Please do not delete content or from pages on Wikipedia without a valid reason. That one source is "more official" than a second one does not mean that the second source cannot be used to supply information that the first one does not, particularly if it does not contradict the first one. Thanks. (Diff) Nightscream (talk) 01:41, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Smash Bros[edit]

Why don't you consider Smash Bros an action game? Joker Begins (talk) 19:24, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's just that I don't consider it an action and fighting game. Besides, isn't fighting a subgenre of action? --(trogga) 19:28, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re[edit]

What another article does is not relevant. However, every individual episode is bigger than any of the Strong Bad episodes, and the main article is too large to contain those episodes. - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:35, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You could have at least went to the talk page first. --trogga 19:56, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There wasn't any indication of controversy, so WP:BOLD allows me to merge them without discussion. Do you oppose the merge? - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:28, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not really, it's just that there doesn't seem to be any reason to merge. --trogga 21:41, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I gave a reason several times - too small. They're small articles with very little room for expansion, and would better serve as one large article. You can't discuss the gameplay because it is already covered in the main article, and the graphics should be discussed in the main article. - A Link to the Past (talk) 22:02, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zack & Miri.[edit]

Hi, you recently made an edit regarding MGM's non-involvement on the Zack & Miri Make A Porno page. I was just wondering if you have a source which possibly mentions why so we can add it to the article? --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:48, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes, I didn't mean to imply anything, I meant so we can add it as I personally feel it may be significant, do you agree? --HELLØ ŦHERE 18:55, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh it doesn't bother me whose page you post on, I'm usually one for posting on the other persons, then they make the decision, ha ha. But I think I may add it to the talk page and see what other editors may think? Any suggestions? --HELLØ ŦHERE 19:07, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but your edit to the article Zack and Miri Make a Porno has an edit summary that appears to be inappropriate. Saying that imdb is not considered a reliable source is perfectly valid, but saying that a source is often "full of crap" is vague, does not make its standing in regard to WP policy clear, and could be construed as uncivil towards the person who relied on it who doesn't know this. Universal Music Distribution[edit]

I noticed you changed the Universal Music groups' distributor entry to Universal Music Distribution. I have been contemplating this myself for a while now, but decided against it. It's just a matter of interepration of the supply chain. UMD is the actual physical distribution arm of Universal- working with other wholesalers and other forms of middlemen to get the product physically in store. It is implied that the entire Universal Music Group is physically distributed by UMD operations, and all the other functions that come with physical distribution including manufacturing, logistics, etc. The "distributor" entry for label groups should instead point to a non-physical interpretation of "distribution"; a sort of phonographic distribution, if you will. This is how Billboard and other trade sources intepret it. For example, the distributor of an Island record is given as IDJ, a Geffen record as IGA, etc. This is a lot more meaningful than going with the physical distributor, UMD, as this only relates to the physical distribution aspect of the supply chain. These groups are in charge of authorizing the content for distribution, thereby controlling physical distribution at a higher "upstream" level- in-effect they are "self-distributed" as previously interpreted here on wiki as well. You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:29, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Scott Pilgrim soundtrack.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Scott Pilgrim soundtrack.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
