That it wasn't scientifically named doens't mean it wasn't known. The article also states it was common by 1876, the year given for it's naming. There's also the possibility that the year of description in the article refers to when it was moved from Polyborus. FunkMonk (talk) 17:39, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Guadalupe Caracara was discovered in the 1870s so Audubon was not able to illustrate this bird --Melly42 (talk) 15:49, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the images removed? When I look at them at WikiCommons, their copyrights have expired and they should be free to use. As I was reading the article, I was curious of this birds looks and its physical characteristics. At least I was glad to find two illustrations here on TalkPage, but shouldn't they be in the article itself? And if not, then why not?

I assume the discussion "Images" above is not about why the images was removed from the page, as it is concerned about the correct categorization of the images. Such a discussion belongs to WikiCommons, not Wikipedia. RhinoMind (talk) 15:51, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
