Untitled[edit]

I'd say Oh Brother, and the Steely Dan, being the first proper Dan album in 20 years, and being one of the best albums they made, and one of the best albums of the last 10 years, to boot.

Disbanded bands[edit]

Article is waaaay too long[edit]

Is there any way that some of these sections could be condensed or spun off? For example, instead of having EVERY album released that year just spin off a separate Wiki article and link to it after the Soundscan Top 20 section?

Should this article be reformatted?[edit]

After having looked at the articles for "year" in music, as well as articles for "year" in R&B, "year" in country, etc. I am thinking that the article simply saying "year" in music as far as recorded music goes should include the top 5-10 "pop" hits of the year with a link to more descriptive article including all the Top 10 hits, "notable" recordings, etc. as well as sections for top 5-10 R&B hits and link to full article, etc. As it stands, these articles seem to assert that "pop" is the only music that matters in a given year but adding all the content from the articles focused on other genres of music within that given year will make the article unwieldy and overlong. Does anyone else feel that the articles simply saying (year) in music should be a general overview of the very top hits of the respective genres with spinoff articles detailing the individual genres in depth? Format of the YEAR in music[edit]

I've checked 1980-today starting from this year format of the pages change too much. I believe there is no system. For example Biggest Hit Singles lists vanish. Also added new top UK sometimes.. Paul Young's Death[edit]

I added a new item (Paul Young) to this article, but I got a notice that the information was incorrect. I am sure I added a valid info, because I didn't mean Paul Young (solo singer) but Paul Young: the singer of the bands Sad Cafe and Mike + The Mechanics. This person actually died of heart attack (15 July 2000).
