Cisco[edit]

I've heard Genesys has the largest amount of market in CTI and Cisco is second. Cisco has books available at reasonable prices (under $100) for people to train themselves with. Whereas Genesys and Nortel both require you to pay the same amount as their training courses just to get a book (upwards of $1000). I think with regard to the availability of training, Cisco will have a lower TCO and become a more popular solution for businesses. Not to mention they will be able to supply all of a call center's needs from the telco to the phone and computer. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.37.84.4 (talkcontribs) 19:36, 19 May 2005 (UTC).[reply]

This is not a discussion point, it's an advert for Cisco who have enough marketing money to pay for their advertising !!!!!!!!!—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.141.81.219 (talkcontribs) 22:45, 11 November 2005 (UTC).[reply]

The history page of CTI[edit]

The history of the CTI is closely related to fall of the Soviet Union in early 1990's, and since most of the technolofy baseline was developed by physics and mathematics PHD's from Moscow universities. That was commercialized by Genesys Telecommunications Labs of San Francisco, which was acquired by Alcatel. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.169.60.43 (talkcontribs) 18:07, 21 May 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Actually to be a little more precise the Genesys founders were actually ex-ballistic missile scientists. Who says CTI isnt rocket science.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.241.180.247 (talk) 16:14, 12 December 2006

CT Connect article in progress[edit]

I just added an article on CT Connect, which is mentioned in this article. I believe it is a significant product in the field, so I decided to make the effort to document what I remember from years of working on the product. (I was associated with it from the late 1980's until about 2003.) We will need more citations and other sources to make this a complete, objective encyclopedia entry. I invite you to contribute at CT Connect and join the editors' discussion at Talk:CT Connect. Thanks! Cstrathmeyer (talk) 15:48, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Much of the CT Connect article appears to be about Computer telephony integration in general and could be merged here (some of the history section should probably be merged elsewhere). Thoughts from others would be much appreciated. Ajpolino (talk) 02:39, 12 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
