Much steeper hill in Andalucia[edit]

There is a very much steeper hill in the Andalucian village Alcalá de los Gazules and the street is called Calle Nuestra Señora de los Santos. In fact, in the town there are several streets much steeper than this. Sounds like this is a non-article. Alcalainonuevo 14:37, 15 January 2010 (GMT)

Actually Baldwin Street is only notable because it is said to be the steepest street in the world - a claim which seems to be incorrect.203.184.41.226 (talk) 06:52, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Improvements needed[edit]

Apart from obvious referencing shortcomings, the article lead is too short. There is little on early history. Some digging in PapersPast may reveal valuable information. Is the classic Dunedin history City of Dunedin silent on Baldwin Street? Schwede 66 08:53, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, this article is too far from meeting the GA criteria to address in a normal review period. In particular, there is an accurate {{refimprove}} banner (see WP:QF #3), as well as [citation needed] tags and unsourced statements in other sections. The article thus fails criterion 2c. There are several additional issues that would also need to be addressed to meet the GA criteria:

2b: A number of citations do not meet the reliable source guidelines. These include Youtube videos, Street View links, an information panel, and clickbait sites.
3a: The lede is insufficient and does not cover the major aspects of the article. The pre-1987 history is also incomplete.
3b: The list of other steep streets is not needed here; a link to Grade (slope)#Roads would be sufficient.
6a: File:BaldwinStreet.jpg does not have a proper license (for the sign that is pictured) and may be a copyright violation.
