well i think that there should be discussion here because i know its hard to find info on this song. heres what i know though.. or what i think anyways.. I think that this song is about rebelling. in london it wouldnt be right to do anything than to just take things and not do anything about them, "the game to play is compromise solution." I think the point the rolling stones are trying to get across is that people should speak what they think and not go along with what is considered the right way to go about things. so yeah thats what i know now and i have to write a paper on this song. i wish i knew more

Answer Song? No.[edit]

How can "Street Fighting Man" be an answer song to "Revolution"? The former was recorded no later than April 1968, the latter in September of that year. 69.51.153.203 22:07, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Fightingmanstones.jpg[edit]

Image:Fightingmanstones.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:21, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hamlet and Street fighting man[edit]

"Palace revolution...I'll kill the king I'll rail at all his servants." Does anyone else see the references Jagger made here to William Shakespeare's TRAGEDY OF HAMLET? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.114.127.244 (talk) 02:43, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am attempting to revive Wikipedia:WikiProject The Rolling Stones and have updated its status to semi-active (in the template on the page) as I plan to make regular contributions to it and was wondering how to get it to display as semi-active on its related pages rather than inactive? --TheSandDoctor (talk) 19:57, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Verbose[edit]

Goodness me there are some lengthy pompous sentences. I'd love to correct them but my IP address at work is blocked — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.185.160.125 (talk) 05:23, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
