Bell in stead of Boeing[edit]

Disposition[edit]

This section implies that there were 13 craft built and 12 were destroyed. According to my grandfather, who worked on the program, only one X-10 was lost at Edwards AFB - the one that blew up on take off. It was explained that the arming system was keyed into the forward landing gear and was to arm when the landing gear retracted - it armed and blew up at the same time. He also stated that there weren't 13 produced. It just seems like the different accidents are repeated throughout the section such as the two landing accidents - it reads as if there were 6 separate accidents that took out aircraft on landing when there was only two. Could probably use a rewrite but I'm not knowledgeable enough about it. Morder (talk) 20:33, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
