Proposal for page move to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals what is the ranking of this university

  • Response: Among other Saudi universities and colleges? The absolute first as it is the only university in the country that can be considered a research university among the 10+ Saudi "universities." Among universities in the middle east? I couldn't find any ranking for Middle Eastern universities, but it is definitely in the very top. (personal opinion: having had connections with some UPM graduates and the university itseld, I would place it #1 among all Arab unversities) Eagle 17:27, Feb 5, 2005 (UTC)

About the section on the terrorist incident:

  • As a resident of KFUPM for the past 20 years I can recall no such incident ever occurring during my stay here. Nor can I find any source on the internet confirming these events (All other references to this event seem to be copy-paste jobs done from wikipedia). I suggest the removal of this section given that there is no evidence to prove it. 202.63.226.46 19:15, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Endowment does not mean budget ![edit]

KFUPM has no endowment. The university budget should not be listed in the university Infobox as an endowment.

for the wiki user who considered "endowment" accidentally as "budget", here is a clarification for the meaning of "endowment" :

A financial endowment is defined in the wikipedia as: " a transfer of money or property donated to an institution, with the stipulation that it be invested, and the principal remain intact."

بالعربي معناها: وقف ، مثلا وقف خيري

Fair use rationale for Image:Kfupm.gif[edit]

Image:Kfupm.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

cleaning[edit]

This article is so long and includes many detailed stuff. For instance, alumni is not needed since there is a separate page for it. So I think such staff should be deleted to offer more easy-to-read article. Egeymi (talk) 13:09, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
