and those cases of lower officials that have been proved have been adequately judicialised (as has generally been the case with Colombian Army generals cohorting with paramilitary groups and illegal death squads)

"adequately judicialised"? What does this mean? That all have been tried in courts? A more idiomatic expression please. Also, it is clearly an opinion, and needs to be sourced to someone (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view) -- Viajero 10:58, 20 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

brought to justice is a better term. A good example is the ongoing trial against Santofimio, a former government minister who was also a mafia boss and wasn't brought to justice before. Kapil 14:31, 20 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Kapil:

and many cases of lower officials cooperating with paramilitary groups and illegal death squads have been adequately brought to justice.

As I stated above, "adequately" implies a value judgement; this must be attributed to someone. Please provide a citation or we must delete it. -- Viajero | Talk 22:05, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried to change that statement to make it less volatile and less subjective: "Several drug mafia or paramilitary hitmen and lower-ranking military officials which directly cooperated with illegal death squads at the time were prosecuted for some of the killings, though the vast majority of the cases have remained unresolved." Name[edit]

Never heard of this group before, but shouldn't it be patrióticas, with an accent? I'm also trying hard to figure out why it's patrióticas and not patrióticos (article doesn't indicate that membership was restricted to women) -- is that influence from the party name, ie, "los patrióticas", meaning "los de la Unión Patriótica"? • Can anyone document whether it was in fact "Patrióticos" or "Patrióticas"? Russ Blau (talk) July 6, 2005 19:58 (UTC)
The name appears to be "Unión de Jóvenes Patriotas", (which can be translated as "Union of Young Patriots") from the following link....[1] Juancarlos2004 7 July 2005 16:31 (UTC)
