Sartre and Spanish Civil War[edit]

I can't find any evidence of Sartre volunteering in the Spanish Civil War. This statement needs to be removed unless a citation can be found. --Farbotron 03:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't the note about Camus seem a bit tangential?

I guess it must have since it no longer exists. Anybody with a better grasp on these stories want to add to my very poor summaries? --Electronic.mayhem 07:17, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

?[edit]

Are we certain that Sartre intended for this to be published as a single volume under the title, "The Wall"?

I have a copy where the editor notes in the beginning that the text was originally published under "Intamacy" (and other short stories), but was later changed to "The Wall" (and other short stories) after the author's death. Is it possible that these stories were written independently at later times, and assembled into this collection by a publisher, perhaps without the author's knowing or recommendation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.205.63.176 (talk) 01:44, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
