Untitled[edit]

Why are half of the articles in this category neighbourhoods of Crawley? These don't constitute villages in any understanding of the term I can lay my hands on. And while a few of them started as separate villages, and Maidenbower likes to call itself a village even though AIUI it has always been a neighbourhood of Crawley, I don't see this as pretext to keep any of them in. Shall we remove them? -- Smjg 11:38, 25 Feb 2005 (UTC)

wholeheartedly agree (see my comment at talk page Crawley) Peter Shearan 17:14, 24 January 2006

I have now opened a page Category:Crawley and transferred all the offending articles thereto Peter Shearan 16:08, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category on redirects[edit]

I have redirected a lot of the one line village articles, at the same time removed the village category. I have now realised that leaving the redirect in place still keeps the villages on this list (in italics). I am now retracing my steps, adding back the category for those missing villages.
