Discussion[edit]

No talk of their move from clay on CGI 3D then? Flushed Away I belive its called-a 3d film about rats, done entirely on computers by Aardman

Why is Hamilton Mattress on the page when it's not an Aardman production? I removed it, and someone put it back. So I moved it to the bottom as a note saying "also notable is Hamilton Mattress, which is often mistaken for an Aardman production". But now my note's been taken off and Hamilton Mattress has been placed back on the production list without comment. I thought my note made it pretty clear that Aardman didn't make the thing. UPDATE: And now Plonsters, an 80s German series, hss been added. Does anyone have any proof that this is connected to Aardman at all, besides being claymation?

question: wasn't the a co-founder, the guy who in the 1980s made the Morph animations?
Yes. This is now dealt with on the page. --rbrwr

How about the new "Ruddie the Reindeer" series that is on TV? Lyellin

That was an in-house BBC production, not Aardman. The director had done work at Aardman, hence similar styles. Nick04
As was a short called "Hamilton Mattress". There was also a music video one year for a song, the title of which I can't remember, in which Wallace and Gromit made a cameo. Can anyone remember what it was? Robert Mc Cann

This is the first time i have ever looked at this page, and there is some inacuracys. Aardman orginally started because of a paid project for Vision on, but they did not make morph for this. They made a drawn animation character that was a spoof of super man, this is where the name Aard-man came from.

There is also some interesting things missing about Aardman,Some of there compilation dvd/video releases such as 'A taste of Aardman' and 'Aardman Classics' these include some of there short works including the conversational pieces and their 3d work. - Owen

Content deleted[edit]

There's a large amount of (apparently good) content from this page that was deleted on 15 March 2006 (possibly by Nickelodeon Movies) and not since restored. Does anyone know what the motivation was? If no one objects I'd like to restore it (and merge with the new content). --Tim Eliseo

Features is a division, not parent name[edit]

I added the Aardman Features name in the other names for Aardman section. Later, it was removed by Loriendrew because features was a divison, not a parent name. Chiagozie Elobuike (talk) 23:48, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Aardman's studio fire[edit]

Link to search: https://www.google.com/search?q=aardman+studios+fire&source=hp&ei=4cSkZM_DHr2v4-EP38aiuA8&iflsig=AD69kcEAAAAAZKTS8Syt8S1-54W-lObcxBINcYTHuXNf&ved=0ahUKEwiPuKfpsvb_AhW91zgGHV-jCPcQ4dUDCAs&uact=5&oq=aardman+studios+fire&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBQgAEIAEMggIABCKBRCGAzIICAAQigUQhgNQAFgAYPoEaABwAHgAgAGKAYgBigGSAQMwLjGYAQCgAQKgAQE&sclient=gws-wiz

There are hundreds of sources saying that Aardman's studio had suffered a fire.

Can this be added to the article, or will Aardman's studio fire get its own article? 124.190.12.234 (talk) 01:20, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are we sure the new 2024 Netflix/BBC Wallace & Gromit film is actually a feature or a short film?[edit]

I've heard a bit of discourse as to whether the new Wallace & Gromit film coming to Netflix, and BBC first in the UK, is actually a feature film or another short film. Allegedly no official sources have said "feature film" and BBC debuting it might mean it's a short film, especially with Dawn of the Nugget just releasing, but I've also heard that someone working on it called it a feature on Instagram. If it's not a feature, should that have been made more clear in its press release? Is that bad press? Might just be a feature and this is a silly question, but I'd love to make sure.TommyJayey (talk) 13:38, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
