Pages for non-singles[edit]

I believe that Dead & Bloated should have its own article, seeing as it was one of the bands biggest hits, and it has also charted, I believe. Black has been covered and noted by independent, reliable sources, as seen in the references section of that page. There is no similar notability for these STP songs, and I have reverted them back to redirects. Tarc (talk) 13:17, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Even if Dead & Bloated and Crackerman don't have any reliable sources to constitute their own articles, couldn't there at least be some mentioning of the two songs' use today? Maybe there could be another section on this page that at least gives them some detail, such as live performances, radio airplay, and charting. Even though these two songs weren't released as singles, they are still well known and at least deserve to have some explanation of them. I might just do that, create such a section on this page and make the articles redirect to that one section. I will also find reliable sources to add to this page so that the new content will deserve to stay.Almax999 (talk) 19:35, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Song backgrounds section[edit]

The Song backgrounds section, just so everyone knows, is a separate section that was created in order to merge Dead & Bloated and Crackerman into the article. No other songs from the album should be listed there unless they are properly sourced, like the above two songs each have at least one source; more sources would be better, though. I noticed that some recent edits that were reverted had that kind of information for every song on the album. There is no problem in having that in the article if that information can be properly sourced. And while I'm on the subject of sourcing material, I realized that the only sources listed in the references section of this page are for the two song backgrounds that I mentioned above. Please find more sources if you can, as I know that most stuff on this page needs sourcing, such as awards won or chart positions.--74.163.253.149 (talk) 00:34, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1994 ?[edit]

If Core was released in 1992 then how was STP considered a "new band" in 1994 in this passage "...band was simultaneously voted Best New Band by Rolling Stone's readers and Worst New Band by the magazine's music critics in January 1994...."

Chart ranking caused sales or sales caused ranking?[edit]

The lede says, "The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard charts and was certified 8x platinum by the RIAA, making it the band's best-selling album of their career." Wouldn't it have been the other way round, i.e., the high sales were the cause of it going high in the charts? Nurg (talk) 09:34, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
