Notable residents[edit]

"Vince Clarke of pop bands Yazoo, Depeche Mode and Erasure lived in Chertsey and recorded much of the Erasure material in the studio adjacent to his home." There is an instrumental with that name youtube.com/watch?v=FMP-yPhxAmk — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.90.200.12 (talk) 19:36, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Chertsey est une municipalité dans la municipalité régionale de comté de Matawinie au Québec (Canada).

Chertsey is a municipality in the municipalité régionale de comté of Matawinie in Québec, Canada.

from fr:Chertsey. how should these two articles co-exist? gren 01:17, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

What about..?[edit]

There is much missing from this article. What about:

  • Chertsey Museum?
  • Chertsey railway station?
  • the fact that lies between two motorways - M25 and M3?
  • the tile making?
  • is Thorpe Park IN Chertsey?

And what does "its tributary rivers such as the River Bourne" mean? There are dozens of tributary rivers of the R Thames - how many actually pass through or near Chertsey? The reference is in case to a disambiguation page - none of which apparently have any connection with the River Thames!

I would have said that Thorpe park was in the village of Thorpe but this is its address Thorpe Park, Staines Road, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 8PN SuzanneKn 21:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Best of Chertsey[edit]

This website keeps being put in here

  • thebestof.co.uk/Chertsey/News: Chertsey Local News

However, I just think it's an advert. It pops up in neighbouring towns all the time. I feel it's just spam. I removed the events link and left this one. Does anyone have any views here? SuzanneKn 21:30, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • You can go ahead and remove any instance of thebestof.co.uk you see on Wikipedia. Labelling it "Local News" or anything else is misleading because it's primarily a business directory. This site has been discussed at WikiProject Spam and was judged to be spam. There was a deletion of hundreds of these links a while ago so whoever was adding is aware they are spam. 172.215.102.205 18:26, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Forward Slash[edit]

Can anyone explain why virtually every figure is preceded and followed by a forward slash? I've not seen this situation in any other article. If there are no explanations forth-coming in the next few days, I propose their deletion and will do so. RASAM (talk) 21:38, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
