Introductory text[edit]

every episode began with the words, "Listen to me and I will tell you the story of Noggin the Nog, as it was told in the days of old..."

Really? I thought the incantation was "In the Lands of the North, where the black rocks stand guard against the cold sea, in the dark night that is very long, the men of the Northlands sit by their great log fires and they tell a tale...". Marnanel 04:19, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)

You're both right. Some did one; some the other. Normally the first form was used in subsequent episodes of the same story, especially in later stories -- although I wouldn't swear to it being a firm pattern 78.144.24.34 19:24, 7 August 2007 (UTC) APJ[reply]

Queries[edit]

I'll argue some points here in case anyone else has a strong opinion (and because I don't have time to edit just now):

  • Graculous certainly does not arrive "randomly" and in any case that hardly seems NPOV.
  • Can anyone tell me the episode where Noggin and Nogbad play chess? I believe that this is one of the books, not the TV series.
  • While we're at it the books are not mentioned.

Running Time, etc.[edit]

Can someone put in one of those boxes down the side with running times, number of episodes in each series, names of the series, whether B&W or colour, etc.? (From memory, there were six series, with a total running time of 250 minutes and 24 episodes, but this needs checking, and I'm not sure what the box template is called) --86.11.5.235 (talk) 00:57, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You want {{Infobox television}}. See Bagpuss for an example to copy. -- EdJogg (talk) 13:38, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
