Removed Romanian references

I removed the following references to Romanian names and the mention of Romanian minority:

It encompasses the following municipalities:
*Plandiste (rom: Plandişte)
*Opovo
*Kovacica (rom: Kovăciţa)
*Alibunar
*Vrsac (rom: Vârşeţ)
*Bela Crkva (rom: Biserica Albă)
*Pancevo (rom: Panciova)
*Kovin (rom: Cuvin).
There is an signifiant Romanian-speaking minority (6,9%).

There are many minorities in the district and listing only Romanian names and mentioning only the Romanian minority is not quite NPOV. If somebody can find the statistical data on minorities for the district (I tried, but failed miserably), they should of course be included. Romanian and other names of municipalities should be in the articles for individual communities. Zocky

Romanian is the first nationality living in this district, after the serbian. Official statistics as of 2002:

Serbians: 220.641 (70,2%)

Romanians: 21.618 (6,9%)

Hungarians: 15.444 (4,9%)

Slovaks: 15.212 (4,8%)

Yes, there are many minorities in the district, but Romanian is the biggest, so if it is mentioned alone, there should be no NPOV problem. Of course, I could add the numbers for the other minorities, but I was not forced to do so, even more if it causes no NPOV problems. I mentioned the names in romanian, because they are official, and because there are no articles for Plandiste, Kovacica, Bela Crkva, and Kovin, where to add the romanian names. That way, the one who makes the article on Plandiste for examples will know how that is spelled in romanian so will add that information to his article.

Plus: Romanian language is an official language of Vojvodina according to the Fundamental Law of Vojvodina, equal to the Serbian language, so if the serbian names are available, the minority languages names should be added too, if they exist. You can add the Hungarian and Slovak names if you know them, I'm not aware of them. --Danutz

I've removed the Romanian names from this listing, they belong on each city's page. (As a simile, you can look at Bihor, which doesn't list Hungarian names even with a 25% minority present) They are on the talk page, if anyone needs to look them up.

Hungarian

Saying that writing Hungarian names for other districts of Vojvodina apart from the North Banat and Bačka is like writing Serbian names for Budapest, Paris and london is rediculous. Surely new know that there are many Hungarian villages in these districts such as Skorenovac, Šumarak, Ivanovo, Debeljača, Dobričevo, Jermenovci and Šušara in the South Banat district alone. I will not list the others as there is little point. Surely the acceptance of minorities and the respect for their language and culture in 2005 in Europe has nothing to do with Trianon? I am a student in the United Kingdom and study politics and minorities. I do not understand how this can be a problem or affect NPOV? In this country we respect our minorities and support their cultures and identities. Please could someone answer as this i do not understand. Thank You, Hvala, Köszönöm --Sch. • We have to write names of districts in all 6 official languages of Vojvodina (not only in Hungarian). That was my objection first time. For example, there are more Romanians than Hungarians in South Banat District, and if you write only Hungarian name and not Romanian, Romanians will be insulted. Same story is about names of municipalities. Wikipedia have practice that alternate names are usually written for the issue about which article speaking (For example: alternate names of South Banat District should be posted in this article, while alternate names of its municipalities, should be written in separate articles about them). In the region with 6 official languages is not quite NPOV to mention only alternate names in Hungarian. That was my basic objection. One more thing: I couldn’t manage to find Rusyn names for districts. Could you find and post them? User:PANONIAN
