Cleanup of Mirra Alfassa article[edit]

I will be working on the clean-up of this article over the next one month.

The purpose of this clean-up is:

1. Clarify certain things in the article that would not be familiar to someone not acquainted with the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo 2. Move information under appropriate sections or create new sections if required.

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

JFK, Henry Ford and Nehru[edit]

References to JFK, Henry Ford and Nehru were removed by User "The red pen of doom" in this edit herehttps://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mirra_Alfassa&diff=614187621&oldid=614186672, but this seems pretty notable to me. Were the sources not good enough, or is there another reason for the removal? --Calypsomusic (talk) 09:23, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because of apologetics, thus POV. Zezen (talk) 17:26, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikify it[edit]

This article is still an apologetic mess. More RS sources needed, or else pruning down. For starters, I replaced all honorifics with her name, "left the earthly plane" to "died" etc. Zezen (talk) 18:06, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

not only that it is not even complete and biased one point of few, horrible ! Shrikanthv (talk) 06:40, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome to work on it. I will only watchlist it to see if the POV non-RS "etheral planes" are not restored. Zezen (talk) 09:24, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This entry appears to be written entirely from a disciple's viewpoint and because of unavoidable and overwhelming built-in bias, is unworthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. Alansa53 (talk) 04:38, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Work of physical transformation[edit]

I'm not sure it's in the guidelines, but I'm pretty sure section headings should make sense and be discussed on the section.Doug Weller talk 15:39, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doug give me some time the headline you stated is little complicated and do not know we should use it all, let me finish the ground work and then we can jump back on correcting it , right now the bottom part is still messey Shrikanthv (talk) 08:15, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Text revised - Some Notes[edit]

1) I have replaced “gurus” by “spiritual personalities”, because with reference to Western readers it seems to be better. 2) “After Sri Aurobindo’s death, she started a school in the Ashram.” This is in direct contradiction to the section “School in Ashram…” further below, where it says “On 2 December 1943 Mirra started a school …” 3) “Mother’s Agenda” is the correct title of the work. (See Further Reading, Amazon etc.) 4) “She is believed”… These interests are well-documented through various statements and photos, Therefore, “was interested”. I have added another source which also contains original statements of Mirra. 5) “On 24 November… defective grammar of the sentence has been fixed, likewise in the para starting with “By 1937…
