Nicopolis[edit]

I find this article hard to understand, as it says the Legion II Trajana Fortis were at their base in Nicopolis when they were attacked and were then besieged in Alexandria. The Nicopolis link goes to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicopolis - which is about Nicopolis in Greece.

Were the Legion II Trajana Fortis at a different Nicopolis that is in Egypt? I'm struggling to work out how a revolt in Southern Egypt could affect them in Greece! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.71.104.222 (talk) 21:05, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
