Existent book details[edit]

If you've read any of the books, please fill in details. I haven't read them all, and don't want to just rephrase Amazon or whatever. pomegranate 21:39, Aug 28, 2004 (UTC)

Good stuff people! pomegranate 21:58, Apr 3, 2005 (UTC)

I added the tentative publication date for the next book. Brendan

I've added the new working title. Brendan 15:09, May 26, 2005 (UTC)
I added the current publication date and a brief note on plot. Brendan 01:57, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I explained Lives of Dax and Stitch In Time a bit more fully. I also reordered the list but that was a mistake (sorry!). I do hold to my opinion that we should provide some help to newbies to understand in which order to read them. -- Zimriel (talk) 21:03, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's the difference?[edit]

In what way are these books distinct from other DS9 novels? Someone who knows, please add that information to the article. -- Bitt 21:28, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The difference is the internal continuity, I guess. --Joshtek 21:22, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The difference is that they form an internally-consistent continuing storyline set after the series. I'll make sure the article clarifies that. Brendan 22:24, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Addtionally, all of the books set in the relaunch has "Star Trek Deep Space Nine" in a simple san-serif font on the cover. All previous books, and all newly published books set back during the series run (e.g. 'Hollow Men', which came out in 2005), have the title in the same stylised font as the TV titles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pomegranate (talkcontribs) 18:43, 14 February 2006‎
If this is true than The Lives of Dax should not be on this list. Fulner (talk) 19:13, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
IMHO it should stay, for the reasons stated in the article. – Fayenatic London 20:57, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't disagree with that, my question is more on the accuracy of the statement all of the books set in the relaunch has "Star Trek Deep Space Nine" in a simple san-serif font on the cover. Fulner (talk) 14:57, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Battle of Betazed[edit]

I would add "The Battle of Betazed" to this page. It's not in the "relaunch" series, but it does introduce the character of Elias Vaughn. In a few places in Avatar Book One, it references TBoB. -- Bassaf 03:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that too; Avatar went so far as to refer to Sentok Nor. I agree that this page should refer to TBoB. But since TBoB takes place prior to Season Seven let alone the relaunch, I'd prefer to keep it low key, as an offhand reference. -- Zimriel (talk) 21:03, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New books[edit]

Does anybody have info on any new books to be released in this series? This page: [1] has some info on upcoming books, but I don't know where he's getting his information from.

What he says is mostly accurate. As this article indicates, the next book is Fearful Symmetry' by Leanna Morrow, coming out next April. It will be a "flip book" with two narrative strands and two covers. The book(s) following that have not been announced, which is not surprising as they're at least 18 months away. The Mirror Universe DS9 story he mentions is also coming, and may tie into the relaunch indirectly. The Terok Nor series is also still being planned, as is the Sisko Lost Era novel. Walking Wounded, though, has been cancelled. A good source of Trek books information is Psi Phi. Hope this helps. Brendan Moody 21:00, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fearful Symmetry[edit]

Fearful Symmetry (Leanna Morrow, August 2007): this book disappeared from my wish list at amazon.com and from the site. I am wondering what happened - it is still on amazon uk slated for a September release.

The book was delayed. There's no new publication date right now. Brendan Moody 18:28, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
