Some questions:

Are the microwave links analog or digital?
Will the optical fibre links be analog or digital?
Is the correlator analog, or digital or a hybrid of both?

Will the new correlator be all-digital, or a hybrid? - The Anome 13:57, Jun 1, 2005 (UTC)

Some answers:

The microwave links are currently analog. They used to be digital but they were put back to analog to increase the bandwidth.
The optical fibre links are digital
The current correlator is a hybrid (as it takes in analog). The e-MERLIN correlator will be digital.
