shut it I just created a category called Category:Scottish laws to contain laws passed in Scotland before the Union of the Crowns. Laws passed in Westminster before 1707 ought go into a new category called Category:English laws, I'd suggest, if only for accuracy's sake. — OwenBlacker 23:40, Aug 23, 2004 (UTC)

... and Category:Welsh laws, for those pre-1538 (are there any?); what about devolved parliaments'/assemblies' laws?

Well, yes, though the Cynulliad can't pass laws, only Statutory Instruments at the moment, and all our law was superseded by English law when we were annexed, so that one's kinda less urgent... ;o) — OwenBlacker 09:27, Aug 24, 2004 (UTC)

{How does|shouldn't} this relate to List of Acts of Parliament in the United Kingdom, Lmno 03:42, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Well, this is an automatic category listing; it has the advantage of no-one needing to update it, but the disadvantage that, given that it relies on articles with special lines in them, it cannot list articles that don't exist yet but should be written.
