Untitled[edit]

Notes

  • some of the years may be wrong
  • some distinction between movies made by Troma versus those just distributed by Troma might be nice
  • other pages like this make links of every movie title. I don't think that makes sense for this one, given the obscurity of many of the films

Italics[edit]

Some one has to italicize these movies, as per style rules. I'd rather not myself, as I don't have THAT much time on my hands, but I will if no one else takes the plunge in the next little while...that or it'll drive me nuts and I'll crumble like the Roman empire and do it tomorrow. -- Yossarian 10:09, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Produced vs distributed[edit]

I think we should note the films that Troma produced vs the ones that just acquired and distributed. As I see it, this can be done two ways. Either having the page divided into two sections, with a produced section and distributed section each either their own list, or with one big list with a note after each film as to whether it was produced or distributed by Troma. Any thoughts? -Joltman 16:32, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since the list of films MADE by Troma is significantly smaller than the list of films DISTRIBUTED by Troma, why not just make the in-house productions bold? Or not. Whichever, I dunno...Skibz777 12:03, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questioning accuracy of articles[edit]

I received an email about this list, to the effect of:

The majority of the films listed are not Troma films. Especially all the ones pre-1974 (Troma didn't even exist before that)

Could someone with a better subject knowledge than I have a quick look over this list to ensure its accuracy, particularly with respect to the above-quoted email? Regards, Daniel (talk) 08:56, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i dont think anything before 197- is possible because they didnt exist before then!!!! - Random —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.172.137.165 (talk) 15:19, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pre-1970s additions[edit]

I strongly feel that pre-1974 films should be included since they were, in fact, distributed by Troma Team Video at one point or another. For instance, "Bloodsucking Freaks" was produced independently prior to the formation of the company, yet it is unquestionably a Troma film by association, since Troma is its sole distributor and the film is one of their more prominent and best-selling titles. Currently, "Bloodsucking Freaks" - under any of its titles - is NOT on this list, which anyone even passingly familiar with the company will tell you is an inexcusable absence. Likewise, Lloyd Kaufman directed and produced several films prior to the company's founding that later found distribution with the Troma brand name that deserve mention on this list. Those are crucial additions, but I think that extends to any other film from the 1950s onwards that were released under the Troma banner.Skibz777 (talk) 19:52, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

...and that's what this list is for. Never mind...Skibz777 (talk) 19:56, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see all the films from before Troma was ever founded keep getting added without consensus or discussion. Consensus needs to be established here. Ridernyc (talk)
