Sketchy reference to Feyman quote[edit]

This page includes a reference to a Feyman quote that says there is enough ZPE in a lightbulb to boil all the world's oceans. The source for this quote is a single Guardian quote that itself provides no context. Further, there are no other references that back up Feyman ever made this claim.

It's an extraordinary claim and it underpins a lot of conspiracy thinking related to ZPE. It would be a good idea to get additional citations or consider dropping the quote. 76.209.240.71 (talk) 03:02, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the sentence as the source is not reliable on physics. The short article makes the claim about Feynman and Wheeler but provides no source. It's basically gossip at this point. Johnjbarton (talk) 16:16, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Purported applications" is primarily primary sources.[edit]

The "Purported applications" is too long per the policy WP:UNDUE. AFAICT it attempts to enumerate every ZPE application ever proposed.

Most of the refs are primary sources or "news" articles about those publications. The section should be based on secondary science sources (as this topic is scientific ZPE not fiction or entertainment). Johnjbarton (talk) 17:25, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
