How was James Bathgate missed until March this year? Rich Farmbrough 21:53, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Confirmation a VC recipient is Scottish.[edit]

For confirmation & biographical reasons it is necessary that all Scottish VC recipients on this list have birth & place dates in Scotland (village,Town City) Remembering VCs born in the UK (Scotland, England, Wales & Ireland before nationality act of 1949) were all British citizens.

To define whether a VC is to be listed under Scottish, Welsh, English or Irish recipients lists it is then imperative their birth dates & place names are inclosed to define their countries of origin.

This information can be found in all three editions of 'The Register of the Victoria Cross' 1981, 1988 & 1997.
