this article should probably be merged in with the general Australian Capital Territory article, since it covers just about the same geographical area. clarkk 14:52, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Actually, most of the Canberra Wine Region is in New South Wales. I have heard that one of the reasons for this is economic - land in the ACT is always leasehold, whereas a vineyard in NSW can be freehold. I don't remember where I heard that - possibly at a cellar door. --Scott Davis ^Talk 11:14, 12 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be renamed 'Canberra District wine region', as 'Canberra District' is the official name of the region under the AWBC Geographic Indications. Someone better than me at this editing caper please help?--Fjl65 (talk) 12:38, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
