Since WHO is this world's government,....[edit]

Who Monographs on Selected Medicinal Plants has been added into this article according to the words of the article in the beginning--222.64.18.232 (talk) 04:20, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

oooops, the monographs look more like specifications than pharmacopoeia, as the directions in the books are not fully cleared. Anyway, I leave it here for further discussions.

If the books are classified as specifications, please mean it in the title of the books. Otherwise using the term of Monographs may confuse the people of the pharmaceutical industry where Monographs have always been referred to the ones in Pharmacopoeia which contains full directions and guidances, unless the term of monographs is explained in the books

Ibn-al-Baytar: dates[edit]

The article says he was from the 14th century, but in http://www.muslimheritage.com/topics/default.cfm?articleID=525 his dates are listed from c. 1188 (or 1197) to 1248, which is not the 14th century. Alternative spelling[edit]

Many old book titles use the spelling Pharmacopoea (an example is already on the page). Could someone else please handle the addition as I'm not familiar with wikipedia policy about the American English spelling that is already on the page. Thanks. Uhm I dont understand. You want to add that there is an alternate spelling for the term " pharmacopoeia". You can add it at the beginning of the article, it happens in many articles, in certain topics you could even mention it in different languages if it would be of some importance. Spinal nerve possible damage due to mother and/or father with two separate forms of spinal bifida. Chiari malformation II: child born breech in July 1962, nearly 3 weeks past due date; contracted pneumonia at 6 months of age; was taken weekly to hospital for injection(s) to combat pneumonia. Child's 1st memory is that of asking father how old she was on July 28, 1967. Told you are 5years and 3 days old. No memory of living in two previous homes as remembered by older sister of 2 years: born June 13, 1960. From 5 yrs of age to 14, child experienced extreme lethargy, a laugh that sounded like a "barking dog", menstrual cycle that started approximate age 13 that included abnormally extreme pelvic pain...no school for 3 days, and maxi pads used with chastity belt needing to be changed every hour, could NOT stand to be touched anywhere on the back....while sitting up straight. 3 days "curled" around base of bathroom toilet 72 hours straight. Pediatric doctor at age 14 said (1) birth control will relieve and cycle adjust to 28 day..instead of 45 day cycle, or (2) when she has a child, it will help. No parent approval for birth control. Patient chose not toto have children. Small lump found in right breast, right side fatty tissue, size of pea. Pediatric/family physicians said it's a cyst and just monitor it if it were to change size or shape. Cyst remained constant for approximately 25 years and must have broken up in blood stream. Patient attempted birth control at age 18, year 1980, The Pill, 28 day blue pill cycle with 5 (or 7?) Sugar pills (pink). Three weeks into taking contraceptive, patient had brown discharge and formed three lumps in lymphatic area of right arm/breast. Doctor said stop taking that form of birth control as my system was rejecting it. Patient continued to have unprotected sex till age of 31, with limited partners, with no apparent pregnancies. However, at age approximate 20, patient did not have a menstrual cycle for 9 months. Patient had very unhappy childhood and self-medicated with Illinois grown marijuana from age 13 to age 24. Patient personality is extreme introvert. Liked learning in grade school, small community..high EXTREME stressor due to strangers as classmates, yet was attentive and did well in class subjects. Adolescent/young woman worked general clerical function job part-time and school part-time junior and senior year 1978-1980. Continued on with successful jobs until age 40. Child taught self gymnastics ages 6-14 and did well with everything except back-bend. Vertebrae in middle of back did not allow. Age 13, bent over to pick up book and could not go back upright. Chiropractor diagnosed twO vertebrae out in neck, two vertebrae out in middle of back, and two vertebrae out in lower back. The lower back was left-side issue. Chiropractic treatment continued monthly for 3 years. Age 27, approx, right hand and arm went completely numb while data entry position. Chiropractic x-ray showed vertebrae right-side down 1/4 inch and out of alignment by 3/4". Massage for muscle relaxation prior to, and after, pneumatic adjustment at same 3 areas of original difficulty corrected problem within 3 months. Age 31 patient injured back, unexplainably while in retail work...no apparent lifting issue, yet was in such pain, could not lie on back for x-ray. Given muscle relaxation medicine and saw it apparently corrected issue. But maybe not. Arthritis in right wrist and lower back diagnosed at age 33. Inflammation of the cartilage between the 12Th and 13th rib, right side, caused severe pain and trouble breathing. Patient not hit or punched. Anti-inflammatory medicine cured. Colds turned into bronchitis from age 6 to current age of 60. Relocation to Florida panhandle at age 31 caused bronchitis to turn into multi bronchitis with inflammation of the hairs in the bronchial tubes. Especially right side. Steroid and antibiotics given. Levacoate and whatever antibiotic used at time. Move to Ohio age age 34 had patient treated with steroids and antibiotics over a 6 month period as physician said it was 3 separate bacteria versus ??? strain. Patient became manic over the course of 3 years withe short-lived episodes until sleep deprivation went for 28 days straight. Patient under extreme management responsibilities at time. Stopped going to work, walking 13 hours straight in winter, no jacket. Thought TV sending messages. Committed to mental ward and held for 40 days with ending medical eval of bipolar I with mania. Regiment of 1500 milligrams of Depakote and 3 milligrams of RISPERDAL. Patient had diagnosis of need for corrective lenses at age 8. Single refraction until after commitment where eye exam required bifocals. Patient returned to management job after 60 days, yet panicked.
