I removed the VFD notice since I could not find a listing there. DJ Clayworth 21:49, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I moved the discussion below from Talk:The Navigators.

Article listed on WP:VFD Jul 7 to Jul 15 2004, consensus was to keep. Discussion:

Tagged for speedy deletion - moved to VfD - Tεxτurε 21:52, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete - looks like advert or a messy user test. Can anyone decipher the article? - Tεxτurε 21:52, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • I just tidied this up (and removed the VFD tag because I couldn't find it listed here). Keep. DJ Clayworth 21:55, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Weak keep: it needs a lot of cleanup or rewrite (the text if vague and not really encycl. format), and I'd like to see other "Navigators" disambiguated within the article (e.g. the Irish laborers who worked the canals in England) or a rename to The Navigators (religion). I'm picky about names. Geogre 00:23, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Good stub. Good title, note the The and the capital N, this wouldn't be a suitable title for any other article. If we have or get articles on similar subjects then a link to them at the top of this one would be a good thing, sure. I've replaced the VfD notice, if the article is listed here (for whatever reasons good or bad) it needs to have one, and there's no justification for early removal of this discussion that I can see. • I take the point, and I admit to being hypersensitive about naming. For what it's worth, there are two other "The" "N"avigators that I've found casually. One is a marine insurance group, and the other is a Ken Loach film. The former isn't particularly notable, but the latter probably is, if anyone develops it. Geogre 00:24, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Nothing wrong with this as it stands; for symmetry's sake could probably be renamed The Navigators (organization) and the generic title turned into a disambig page. In fact, I think I'll do just that. Jgm 17:43, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)

End discussion

I also have removed the VFD notice. DJ Clayworth 13:39, 29 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I got to this page by following a link relating to the navigational abilities of the micronesians. Given that "navigators" is a word usually used in the context of people who are able to navigate, is it possible to reinstate the Navigators disambiguation page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.120.245.71 (talk) 09:43, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for Tone Template[edit]

Added an "inappropriate tone" flag to the page due to the fact that the first two sections read like a brochure, especially the second section on Glen Eyrie. Needs some cleanup and some de-peacocking.

Just want you to know that Chris's Disciples is not at 798 Motter Ave. I don't know if he is deceased or moved. 2601:147:4100:6A30:355A:165:ED5A:85A2 (talk) 00:29, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
