Maybe somebody who can read Japanese can translate the Japanese version of this page?

I modified the first sentence, since almost no one in Japan will understand you, if you say you're a student of Tokyo Tech or Titech. The generally used and always understood term is Tokodai. Unfortunately I am not an English native speaker, so please feel free to rewrite the sentence if what I wrote sounds odd. 217.110.64.123 (talk) 14:12, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article looks great. Could you perhaps translate the motto into english a different way? Right now I can't understand its meaning. Señorsnazzypants talk 22:15, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Informal Name[edit]

It seems that TIT is also frequently used as an informal name (including within this article), similar to MIT. Shouldn't it be included in the informal names at the top of the article. History: English name at 1929 university status[edit]

I came across multiple sources, namely https://www.titech.ac.jp/public-relations/about/stories/english-name and https://titech-museum.note.jp/n/na3d4796f8e16 that specifically deals with the english name change. according to them, in 1929, the official english name used was "Tokyo University of Engineering" until the current "Tokyo Institute of Technology" was beginning to appear in official documentations and correspondence around as early as 1946, or 1947. I would propose to consider to add the clarification of the original and present english names in the second sub-section of the History section (Great Kanto e.q. and w.w.II).
